For the Marinade
  • 4 cloves Fresh garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup Low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup base of the BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper

How to Make Baked BBQ Chicken
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray your baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, and apple cider vinegar in a medium bowl until smooth.
  4. Arrange the chicken in your prepared baking dish. Pour half of the homemade BBQ sauce over the chicken.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C), basting with the remaining BBQ sauce halfway through.
  6. Serve the chicken hot out of the oven, drizzled with any extra sauce.
