Method
 

How to Make Braided Cinnamon Buns
  1. Combine warm milk, softened butter, eggs, and yeast in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk together the bread flour, granulated sugar, and salt in another bowl.
  3. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until combined.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place and cover the kneaded dough in a greased bowl. Let it rise for about 1 hour.
  6. Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a rectangle.
  7. Spread 1/2 cup softened butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Roll tightly the dough into a log shape and cut into strips.
  9. Braid the strips together and place them in a greased baking dish.
  10. Cover and let rise the braided dough again for an additional 30 minutes.
  11. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  12. Brush the top with beaten egg.
  13. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  14. Allow to cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
