Method
 

How to Make Cheese Danish
  1. Thaw the puff pastry sheet according to the package directions.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Mix cream cheese, white sugar, and vanilla extract in a medium-sized bowl until light and fluffy. Add red food coloring.
  4. Unfold the thawed puff pastry and cut out 7 hearts using a 3-inch heart cookie cutter.
  5. Score a border about 1/4 inch from the edge of each heart.
  6. Spoon about 1/2 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto each heart.
  7. Sprinkle the diced strawberries evenly on top of the cream cheese.
  8. Combine the egg and cold water in a small bowl to create an egg wash. Brush this mixture onto the outer border.
  9. Bake for 15-17 minutes, until the edges turn golden brown.
  10. Cool on the pan for about 5 minutes before serving.
