Ingredients
  

For the Truffles
  • 8 oz Semi Sweet or Dark Chocolate finely chopped
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream adds richness
  • 1 medium Orange zested
For Coating
  • 1 cup Chocolate Sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder for coating

Method
 

Making Truffles
  1. Chop the chocolate into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. Heat the heavy whipping cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
  3. Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Stir the mixture until it’s smooth and well combined.
  5. Add the grated orange zest to the chocolate mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
  6. Refrigerate the mixture for approximately 120 minutes or until it firms up.
  7. Scoop out small amounts of the mixture and roll them into balls.
  8. Roll the truffles in chocolate sprinkles or cocoa powder to coat them.
  9. Place the coated truffles on a baking sheet and refrigerate until ready to serve.
