How to Make Cinnamon Apple Fritters
- In a large bowl, mix together the self-raising flour, bicarbonate of soda, chilled soda water, caster sugar, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
- Dice the peeled and cored Pink Lady apples into small pieces and fold them into the batter.
- In a frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat until hot.
- Drop dollops of the batter mixed with apple pieces into the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove the fritters from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Plate the fritters warm, add scoops of vanilla ice cream on the side, and drizzle with golden syrup.
