Ingredients

For the Coffee Base

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee cooled to room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup for sweetness and flavor
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for added flavor

For the Frappuccino

  • 2 cups ice crushed or cubed
  • 1 cup milk whole milk or any milk alternative
  • 1 tablespoon whipped cream for topping
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup for drizzling on top

Instructions

Prepare the Coffee Base

  • Brew 1 cup of strong coffee using your preferred method. Allow it to cool to room temperature. This step is crucial as hot coffee can melt the ice too quickly, affecting the texture of your frappuccino.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled coffee, 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup, 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved. This mixture will be the flavor base of your frappuccino.

Blend the Frappuccino

  • In a blender, add the coffee mixture, 2 cups of ice, and 1 cup of milk. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and frothy. This step ensures that the ice is finely crushed and evenly mixed with the coffee and milk, creating a creamy texture.
  • Taste the frappuccino and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar or chocolate syrup. Blend again briefly to combine any added ingredients.

Serve

  • Pour the frappuccino into serving glasses. Top each glass with a dollop of whipped cream and drizzle with additional chocolate syrup for an indulgent finish.
  • Serve immediately with a straw or spoon, and enjoy your homemade Copycat Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino!

Notes

For a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso instead of brewed coffee. You can also customize this recipe by adding flavored syrups or using different types of milk.
