Making the Candy
- In a large saucepan, mix together the sugar, sour orange juice, and agar agar powder. If you'd like, add a few drops of food coloring.
- Stir the mixture CONSTANTLY over medium-high heat until it reaches a rolling boil. Lower the heat to medium-low and cook for about 4-5 minutes until it thickens.
- Pour the hot mixture into a lined pan and chill in the fridge for at least two hours until set.
- Take the pan out, cover an edge with new parchment paper, and sprinkle powdered sugar over the jelly surface.
- Dip a knife in warm water to loosen the jelly. Slice it into two blocks.
- Gently roll each piece into a tight log.
- Cut each log into 1/2-inch pieces. Serve and enjoy!
