Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your 9-inch round cake pan by greasing it lightly.
  2. Mix the yogurt, granulated sugar, and eggs in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and almond extract.
  4. Combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing gently.
  6. Pour in the neutral oil and mix until the batter is smooth.
  7. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and bake for about 40 minutes.
  8. Prepare the glaze by combining the granulated sugar, butter, water, vanilla extract, and almond extract in a saucepan over medium heat.
  9. Heat until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cake once it’s out of the oven.
