How to Make Garlic Parmesan Pasta
- Begin by filling a large pot with salted water and bring it to a rolling boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes, then drain, reserving ½ cup of the pasta water for later.
- In a skillet over medium heat, drizzle in the extra virgin olive oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until it becomes fragrant but not browned.
- Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Once the cream has thickened, gradually stir in the grated parmesan cheese until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet and gently toss it with the sauce. If needed, add some reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
- Finally, taste your Garlic Parmesan Pasta and season with salt and pepper as desired. Serve immediately.
