Ingredients
  

For the Roast
  • 1 piece Chuck roast
  • 4 cloves Fresh garlic, minced
For the Seasoning
  • 1 packet Ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet Au jus gravy mix
For Cooking
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
For the Veggies
  • 2 cups Baby carrots
  • 1 large Yellow onion, sliced

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. Generously season both sides of the chuck roast with salt and pepper.
  3. Melt 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the roast until browned on all sides, about 3 minutes per side.
  4. Carefully transfer the seared roast to a Dutch oven or slow cooker. Surround it with the sliced onions and baby carrots.
  5. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the roast.
  6. Add the minced garlic on top, followed by the remaining tablespoon of butter.
  7. Cover and bake in the oven for approximately 4 hours, or until the meat is fork-tender.
