  • 750 ml High proof alcohol Opt for 95% for robust infusion
For the Simple Syrup
  • 250 ml Water Adjust to taste
  • 200 g White sugar Use granulated sugar for best results

Method
 

How to Make Homemade Limoncello
  1. Zest the organic lemons using a microplane or zester, ensuring you only take the yellow part.
  2. In a clean, airtight jar, mix the lemon zest with the high proof alcohol.
  3. Every couple of days, give the jar a little shake to help the flavors mingle.
  4. In a saucepan, heat the water and add the white sugar, stirring until dissolved. Let it cool completely.
  5. Carefully strain the lemon zest from the infused alcohol using a fine mesh sieve.
  6. Combine the infused alcohol with the cooled simple syrup and stir well.
  7. Pour your limoncello into clean bottles, seal tightly, and keep in the freezer.
