Ingredients

For the Coffee Base

  • 1 cup coarse ground coffee Use a high-quality coffee for the best flavor.
  • 4 cups cold water Filtered water is recommended for a cleaner taste.

For the Iced Coffee

  • 2 cups coffee base Prepared cold brew coffee.
  • 1 cup milk Use whole, almond, or oat milk based on preference.
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1 cup ice cubes Use coffee ice cubes for a stronger flavor.

For Garnish (Optional)

  • 1 tablespoon whipped cream For a creamy topping.
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder For dusting on top.

Instructions

Prepare the Cold Brew Coffee

  • In a large jar or pitcher, combine 1 cup of coarse ground coffee with 4 cups of cold water. Stir gently to ensure all coffee grounds are saturated.
  • Cover the jar and let it steep in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours. This slow brewing process extracts a rich flavor without bitterness.
  • After steeping, strain the coffee through a fine mesh sieve or coffee filter into another container to remove the grounds.

Assemble the Iced Coffee

  • Fill each tall glass with 1 cup of ice cubes. For a stronger coffee flavor, use coffee ice cubes made from leftover cold brew.
  • Pour 1/2 cup of the prepared cold brew coffee over the ice in each glass.
  • Add 1/4 cup of milk to each glass. You can adjust the amount of milk based on your creaminess preference.
  • Stir in 1 tablespoon of simple syrup for sweetness. Taste and adjust the sweetness as needed.
  • If desired, top with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder for an indulgent touch.

Notes

For the best flavor, use freshly ground coffee beans. You can also experiment with flavored syrups or add a splash of vanilla extract for extra flavor.
