Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, brown sugar, and softened butter until crumbly.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking pan evenly.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, baking powder, salt, coconut, walnuts, and cherries until well combined.
  5. Pour the cherry mixture over the crust, smoothing it out.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until set and lightly browned.
  7. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan.
  8. Mix confectioners' sugar, butter, vanilla, and water into a smooth icing, then drizzle over the cooled bars.
