  • 2 teaspoons paprika smoked paprika recommended
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust for heat
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme

How to Make The Best Ever Shrimp Etouffee
  1. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, garlic, celery, and green bell pepper. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in arrowroot powder, Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, black pepper, cayenne, and thyme.
  4. Pour in diced tomatoes and chicken stock. Bring to a simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Add peeled shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions before serving.
